Self-Instructional Language Studies

The ability to communicate in a foreign language can be both enjoyable and rewarding whether for business, travel, or just for fun. Learn Chinese, French, German and/or Spanish. This self-paced, self-instructional opportunity is available in the SIUC Language Media Center, which provides access to multi-media computers, audio and video tapes, international cable television (foreign news broadcasts), and closed caption television. Times to be arranged during the following lab hours:

Spring and Fall
Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Summer
Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
