Saluki Swim Camp 2008
June 23 - 27, 2008

Our swim day camp is designed for campers to experience the enjoyment of swimming and diving. The emphasis is on having fun in water sports and games. The camp will utilize the swimming pool at the Rec Center. The pool will be reserved exclusively for our camp.

This camp is for 8-15 year old campers and will be a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone.

This is not a “learn how to swim camp.” To enjoy the water activities in this camp, the campers need to be able to swim a minimum of 25 yards.

In addition to swimming and diving, campers will have fun at the Southern Illinois University Campus Lake. If weather permits, a beach pizza party, canoeing, paddle boating and other outside activities will be a part of our camp activities.

Additional daily activities in our Student Center will include bowling, billiards and arts and crafts activities in our Student Center Crafts Shop.

The fee includes lunches (Monday-Friday) at our Student Center, souvenir T-shirt and limited accident medical camper coverage.

The program is filled on a “first to register” basis and does fill up quickly. Early registration is encouraged to due to the limited enrollment.

Program Date: June 23 - 27, 2008

Program Times: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The daily check-in will be between 7:30-8:00 a.m. and check-out will be between 4:30-5:00 p.m. each day during this five day camp. These extended check-in and check-out times are being offered for the convenience of working parent(s).

Check-In and Check-Out will occur at the Alumni Lounge at the Rec Center

Registration Deadline: Early Registration Deadline is June 9, 2008

Fees:

• $195 Registration Fee before June 9, 2008
• $225 Late Registration Fee after June 9, 2008

A full refund will be issued if you have to cancel your registration before June 9. A refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee, will be issued if you cancel your registration after the above date.

Program Requirement: The Academic Medical/Photo Release Form must be submitted to the Division of Continuing Education prior to a camp in order for your child to attend.
