CRAFT for Kids - Clay Animals

Every third Saturday we will host Craft for Kids. This Saturdays theme is clay animals. We will using slab, coils, and pinch methods to create clay animal sculptures and colored them with underglazes We will learn about ceramic artists that sculpt animals to get us inspired. Our staff will glaze works after workshop. Finished works will be available 2 weeks after workshop. 

Craft for Kids is a new art series to engage younger students in craft media such as clay, fibers, metals and wood during the semester. This series will take place on the 3rd Saturday of the month during the semester. Spring semester 2026 will focus on clay and hope to expand to other material over time. Craft for Kids is an effort to bring some of our youth summer programming energy to the regular semester to allow a younger audince a space to explore craft media.

Kids waiver must be signed at arrival, parent does not need to be present during workshop for kids 1st grade and up but may stay if desired.
